Tomorrow is the big day- I can’t believe its finally here!  We did our 2 Ovidrel trigger shots last night at 7:40 pm.   Ovidrel is the drug that tells the ovaries to get ready to release an egg.  This is supposed to help with the egg retrieval process.   They are so precise with the timing of everything.  Our retrieval is tomorrow at 7:40 am in the new Basking Ridge office.  We have to be there 1 1/2 hours before retrieval time so it looks like we will be leaving our house at 5 am.  I’m glad to have an early retrieval.  Since you go under anesthesia you can’t have anything to eat or drink starting at midnight the night before so the earlier the better for me.

We went to the doctor this morning for our final blood work and ultrasound.  We have a 17 mm follicle in the right ovary and a 19 mm follicle in the left ovary.

This is the left ovary- the big black thing is the follicle.

I’m excited for tomorrow but also extremely nervous.  M and I were talking about the emotions of it this morning.  We are thinking positive but going into it with our eyes open knowing there is a possibility for the follicles to be empty again.  For now we are going to put all our faith in them and God and pray they will be OK.
